About us

Our Church

Riga International Christian Church (R.I.CH. Church) is a life-giving, multicultural church in the heart of Riga, Latvia.

We are a community of people from different nations, cultures, backgrounds, and walks of life, united by our love for Jesus. We believe church is more than a Sunday gathering, it’s a family where people can belong, grow in their relationship with God, build meaningful friendships, discover their purpose, and make a difference in the world around them.

Our heart is to love God, love people, and make Jesus known in Riga and beyond. Whether you’ve followed Jesus for years, are just beginning to explore faith, or simply have questions, you are welcome here.

Our Pastors

Felipe Alvarado from Chile and Jael Pedraza from Argentina, are musicians, psychological counselors, and the pastors of R.I.CH. Church.

Having grown up in missionary families and been shaped by life and ministry across different cultures, they developed a deep passion for people, the local church, and helping others experience the love of Jesus.

Together with their two boys, Liam and Nathan, they’re honored to call Riga home and to serve this city by building a healthy, welcoming, and life-giving church where people can encounter God and grow in their faith.

They believe everyone has a place in God’s family, and they’re passionate about creating a church where people from every background can feel at home.

Whatever your story, your culture, or your background, there’s a place for you here. We’d love to meet you!

What we believe

The Holy Bible
We believe the Bible is God’s inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word. It is the ultimate guide for our faith and life (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21).
The Trinity
There is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—co-equal and co-eternal (Genesis 1:26; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1).
Jesus Christ
Jesus is God the Son, fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose again on the third day, and will return in glory (John 1:14; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-11).
Virgin Birth
Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, affirming His divine nature (Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:35).
Salvation
Salvation is a gift of grace received through faith in Jesus Christ—His death, burial, and resurrection—never earned by works (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10).
Sanctification
We grow in holiness by yielding to God’s Spirit and Word, becoming more like Christ every day (2 Corinthians 3:18; Romans 8:29).
Baptism of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit empowers believers to live for Jesus and share the Gospel, as promised and given at Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4; Joel 2:28).
The Church
The church is the Body of Christ, made up of all believers united by the Spirit, called to worship, serve, and share Jesus with the world (Ephesians 2:19-22; John 17:20-23).
Resurrection
Jesus was physically raised from the dead. All people will be resurrected—believers to eternal life, and unbelievers to judgment (1 Corinthians 15:42-44; John 11:25-26).
Marriage
We believe marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, as established by God (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6).
Second Coming
Jesus will return visibly and physically to establish His eternal Kingdom, though the timing is unknown (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).
